IMR provides a valuable link
between Doctors and the workplace.
Services include:
• Keeping you informed of your patients progress at all times
• Conducting workplace assessments and advising you of the
availability of suitable duties
• Informing you of the demands (physical/psychological) of
suitable and pre-injury duties
• If necessary, we will conduct a functional capacity assessment
• Ensuring duties are within the medical restrictions identified
by yourself
• Establishing a graded return to work plan to assist the
injured worker in their return to work
• Providing feedback to the employer regarding the injured
workers prognosis
• Providing your patient with ongoing support
• Recommending workplace modifications and equipment to ensure
safe work practices
• If required, we can conduct a home visit and/or activities
of daily living assessment
• If necessary, assisting your patient to obtain alternate
employment, this may include vocational counselling and training
• Once the injured worker has reached their fullest potential,
we will monitor their status for a period
of one month before closing their rehabilitation file
