Overview of IMR

IMR is a WorkCover approved rehabilitation provider in NSW. The origins of IMR can be traced back to 1995 when the business began in the Managing Director’s home. It then began to grow and a small team was established in Newtown NSW.

Now three offices have been developed in Lindfield, Alexandria and Wollongong. IMR sets itself apart from other providers by its high standards of reporting, clear client goal setting and a focus on working closer with clients to help them achieve their goals.

IMR is organised into key Operating Groups:

• Occupational Rehabilitation

• Medico-Legal

• Occupational Health and Safety

Over the years, IMR has led the way in innovative return to work programs for businesses in government, retail, health, agriculture, horticulture, telecommunications, manufacturing and finance sectors. IMR currently provides rehabilitation and consulting services to Workers Compensation Insurers, CTP Insurers and self insurers. In recent years ergonomic assessment and return to work coordinator training has become a critical requirement for IMR clients

Alexandria - Sydney Central

Two clinical teams are based at 74 McEvoy Street, which is also IMR’s Head Office for their operations. The teams are staffed by Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Counsellors and Medico Legal Consultants.

Lindfield - Sydney North

IMR has a team at 280 Pacific Highway, Lindfield. The team is staffed by Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Counsellors with a territory spanning the Northern Sydney Beaches, North Shore, Industrial Complexes of French's Forrest, North Ryde and the Hills District.

Wollongong - Illawarra and South Coast

The Illawarra team was established in 2004 and has grown since. The client base extends down the NSW South Coast to the growing Shoalhaven region and beyond. Other regions covered by the Illawarra Team include Campbelltown, Engadine, and the growing transport infrastructure in Port Kembla. The Illawarra team is also equipped to deal with the full range of demands in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, vocational services, ergonomic assessment and complex case management.
